Bountiful: Giving or providing many desired things
In the United States, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I am so thankful to all the farmers that toil so hard so that I can set my Thankgiving table with bountiful food.
I am especially thankful to the ones that go the extra mile and raise organic food and treat their animals humanely. I am also thankful to the small farms, that don’t have the resources to get their organic label, but follow the same practices as the larger organic farms do.
I am very thankful to live in a country that provides me with so many bountiful choices — not just food, of course, but freedom, protection, a bountiful array of landscapes and people.
I am also very thankful to all my friends, running friends, blogger friends: you make me feel like a normal person instead of a crazy runner — you get me, you really do!
And speaking of running, I also loved this quote from Ovid that I found. It sums up why an off season is so important to runners. I am thankful to be in my off season as the days get shorter, grayer, and colder.
Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop
— Ovid

Oh yeah, forgot to mention Santa & the helicopter. Wow. Speechless. He comes around our neighborhood in a firetruck, which actually is what I remember from childhood!

Great post! I love that quote. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I am thankful to have my health, family and friends, and a roof over my head. It has been a bit of a tough year for my family, too, but I also have so many blessings in my life still.
