5 Reasons to Check Out . . .

. . . Fit and Fueled

I know, I know: holiday eating is in full swing. Cookies and eggnog and pie, oh my!

So why would I want to talk to you about good nutrition amidst the holiday feeding frenzy? Because tomorrow the price goes up for Laura @ Mommyrunfast’s Fit and Fueled nutrition course.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to put down that fork or wineglass just yet. Just a little bit of money. Disclaimer: my fee was waived in exchange for a review of the program.

Today I am joining up with the  Friday Five 2.0  from Fairytales & Fitness and Rachel @ Running on Happy to share five reasons Fit & Fueled piqued my interest.

Start off the new year on the right foot
There is a local race on New Year’s Day here. I use the term race loosely; it’s not chip timed, but it’s still my New Year’s Day tradition. It just puts me in a good mood to “race” in the New Year.

Ditto to getting back to more normal eating.

Is this too much sugar?

Learn how much sugar is okay
I enjoy sugar as much (if not more) than the next person, but I also know that it’s in my best interest to limit it. But how much sugar can I get away with — because I am never planning to give up sugar completely — I’d love to know that!

I packed on some pounds training for that first half (still run in that jacket though!)

Learn how to maintain my weight while increasing my mileage
Last year I ran more weekly mileage than I have in a long time. This year I’m hoping to run longer, which means even more mileage. And Runger.

I would love some guidance on how to increase that mileage without gaining weight — because yes, I’m that girl: the one that gained weight training for her first half. Sure, I’ve since gone on to lose that weight and then some, but I’ve run enough halfs to know what to do now.

Beyond a half? It’s scary! And I need to fit into my running clothes!

Knowledge is power
I truly believe that you can never know too much about nutrition. Even if you’re not fascinated by it like I am, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll learn something in this course that will help you run stronger.

Support
If there’s one thing I know about losing weight (or just eating healthy), it’s that you need support — whether that’s your SO, BRF, or a facebook group filled with runners who have many of the same issues as you.

Ya feel me? Ya with me? If so use code “CHOCOLATE”  when you sign up at this page here to receive $5 off of the Fit and Fueled Nutrition for Runners course — but hurry — today is the last day to pay $39; the price goes up tomorrow.

So let me know in the comments:

Will you be joining me to learn more about nutrition for runners?

Have you od’d on sugar yet?

Ready to start 2018 off on the right foot?

    1. I’ve never done a Whole 30 for that very reason. Restrictive diets tend to backfire at some point. I make a lot of the stuff that sugar hangs out in myself (like salad dressings, although sometimes mine are sweetened & sometimes not).

I do really love Danette May’s Challenge, too. There’s also a 21 Day Sugar Detox program. Depends on how hard core you want to be. 🙂

  1. I haven’t od’d on sugar but I have od’d on salami! Around the holiday season, Aldi has these tiny pre cut salami slices and they are sooooo good. So after school I end up snacking on those and cheese cubes. Is there even any nutritional value to salami?? I mean, I guess protein but the fat and sodium must counteract that!

  2. I’ve been trying to be good on sugar, and I’m limiting my cheese intake after I had cheese for every lunch and dinner in Vegas. I haven’t cut it out completely, but I am more aware of the meals I’m making. It’s always good to start the new year off right.

  3. Will you be joining me to learn more about nutrition for runners? No. But I do hope you give a review.

Have you od’d on sugar yet? Getting too much. Would love to cut WAY back on this.

Ready to start 2018 off on the right foot? Yes I am & ready to get this party started.

  4. Not planning to take that course but am interested in what everyone learns.

I have been travelling and missed all the office parties & sweets at work but have not od’d on sugar…yet. I have a party tonight.

I also have not had time to bake Christmas cookies or truffles…My friends will either be grateful and angry.

Lately coffee seems to be my drug of choice.
